Some of the best parts of traveling aren’t found on an itinerary. They’re the flavors you discover, the stories you hear, and the simple pleasures shared with good company. We’ve created a collection of private experiences exclusively for guests staying at Bank Street B&B—things you won’t find offered as experiences elsewhere in Lake Charles.
Each experience is hosted here at the B&B and designed to complement your stay. They’re our invitation to slow down, connect, and experience a little more of the place we call home.
Play Like a Local
Pull up a chair and learn the card game that has kept South Louisiana kitchen tables lively for generations. Join us for an evening of Bourré—a spirited Louisiana card game where a little strategy, a little luck, and plenty of good-natured ribbing are all part of the fun. We’ll teach you how to play, share a few family stories and house rules, then deal you in for a fun evening of games and conversation.
Light snacks are included. BYOB is welcome: guests may bring their own beer, wine, or other beverage to enjoy during the game. (We don’t sell or provide alcoholic beverages, but you’re welcome to bring your own.) No experience necessary, but good sportsmanship is strongly encouraged!

Boudin Trail Tasting
Boudin is a Louisiana tradition, and no two recipes are alike. We’ve done the exploring for you and selected several favorites from the Boudin Trail for a relaxed tasting at the B&B.
Sample a variety of boudins, from classic and spicy to smoked and specialty varieties, and use our tasting card to decide which one earns your vote. We’ll share a little of the story behind each producer and give you our recommendations for where to go if you find a favorite.
It’s the perfect introduction to one of Southwest Louisiana’s most delicious traditions, and a great way to plan your own food adventure the following day.

Afternoon Tea
An elegant afternoon, all to yourselves. When you reserve both guest suites, the B&B becomes your private home for the stay—and what better way to enjoy it than with afternoon tea?
Enjoy a leisurely tea service featuring delicate finger sandwiches, freshly baked sweets, and your choice of fine teas. We’ll add a few Southern touches along the way, creating a tea experience that feels right at home in Southwest Louisiana.
It’s a lovely way to celebrate a mother-daughter getaway, enjoy time with friends, or simply slow down and savor life.

Whether you’re planning a memorable getaway with family or friends, or arranging a stay for your clients, consider adding one of our exclusive Local Experiences to your Bank Street B&B reservation. These private experiences are available only to our overnight guests and are designed to give you a more personal taste of Southwest Louisiana.
Experiences must be reserved at the time your room is booked. Because each experience requires advance preparation and scheduling, we cannot guarantee availability for experiences requested after the original room reservation is made.
